Benton Fights 10.24.09 : We had a great time at the Benton Fights October 24. Grant and Wes won their superfights. Brandon won his Muay Thai Fight. We were really glad to see Justin Wolff step up and fight Brandon. Brandon's the 2007 Amateur Muay Thai World Champion and at the 2009 Arnold Classic he picked up 3 titles: San Shou, Muay Thai and International Rules Kickboxing.
His last 3 opponents have backed out of the fight the day of, but Justin from Prathet Muay Thai showed up to fight. It' was a great main event and thanks to all fighters.

Modern Ringsport 06.13.09 : June 13, Team Revolution returned to the cage to fight in Jacksonville, AR.

Up on the card first was Travis Panther. If you've trained at REVOLUTION for awhile you know Travis. He's been very dedicated to the program, traveling over 1 hour one way just to be here. His work causes him to miss often when he's out of town, but when he's here you will see his face in the gym. Travis first fight was an exhibition (no winner). He lost almost 30 lbs in the process of getting ready for this fight. He even sat in a sauna the day of the fight to make sure he was exactly at weight. He was able to work on his standup and ground game, and get a feel for what he'll be doing should he decide to take a real fight. We were proud of him for getting out there.

The main event of the night was Wes Baxter. Wes is a constant presence in REVOLUTION Benton and Hot Springs. He trains hard and helps with the programs. He's been training hard for this fight, working to get down to his new lower weight class. Wes came out strong like always. He was able to quickly take his opponent, a seasoned wrestler, down in the first round. Wes worked to his back and sunk in a choke, bringing him a victory early on in Round 1. Good work Wes!

Caged Fury 06.21.08 : REVOLUTION was proud to fight on Caged Fury, Conway's first MMA fights. Hosted by Conway MMA, it was a great event to attend. Charlie had his first match. He looked really good, he lost a decision. He dominated in the third round, lost the second, and we all thought he edged it out in the first, but the judges did not agree. Fighters from Conway MMA, Inferno and LDMA all had a great showing. The show had over 500 people in attendance and 16 exciting fights on the card.

Inferno Supershow 04.05.08 : The Inferno Supershow was put on by Inferno Fight Club in Clarksville AR. This was a really great show. Production wise it was nice and the quality of fighters was really high. Congrats to them on a successful show! We were glad to be there.

Royce was up first. He made weight with ease and was ready. He came out in the first round with some good shots. When his opponent (with a strong wrestling background) took it to the ground, Royce was ready. He worked his top game and finished the fight in the first round by RNC. Good Job!

Wes was the main event. This was the toughest fight he's had so far. He said he wasn't feeling himself that day but he looked good coming out. He had his first loss tonight in the third round. Wes has a great attitude as a fighter and is a leader for others. Without a doubt he'll be back.

Overall great show and we're proud of Royce and Wes for getting out there!
(Sorry for the lack of pics, they really didn't come out well this time and this is the best I had)

Ring Rulers 02.23.2008 : REVOLUTION was proud to have the opportunity to fight on RING RULERS MMA Show in Hot Springs, AR.

Patrick was up first. He won his fight in the second round via KO.

Scott and Jordan put on an excellent grappling Exhibition. Scott is back on a 4 day leave. He really wanted to get out there once more before shipping out to Iraq, and we made sure to keep him injury free. Both of these guys put on a great show for the crowd that was some of the most exciting grappling of the night. It was good to see them working on the things we have been drilling in class, and putting them to use in the competition arena.

Colton was the Semi-Main event. He lost his title fight due to a cut over his eye, but he looked great. In particular, his BJJ looked superb. I foresee a rematch. Colton has a great attitude overall, and we are proud to have him on the team.

Sherwood CageFights 01.26.2008 : With close to 700 people in attendance and standing room only, Modern Ringsport brought the fans an incredible show...Arkansas' LDMA Affiliates and several other gyms from surrounding states made the drive to attend Sherwood's First Cage Fights. The level of the amateur fighters on this show was incredible and fun to watch. Congrats to everyone!

On the REVOLUTION Front, Helen looked GREAT in her Kickboxing Match. She got some ring time to work on her game plan in front of a crowd, and did a really great job with that. She pushed the action and gave it her all both in preparation for the fight and during the fight. I can honestly say that Helen and Jason both put in an incredible amount of time training at home, and it really showed tonight. Be looking for more of her, Congrats Helen!

Fiser looked good as well. Wasn't on top of his A game due to an episode of the Flu, but he landed some great strikes coming out and gave it his all, and we will see him back in No Time.

LDMA had multiple fighters on the card. Josh and Caleb (main and co-main events) won their fights, as did Rudy. They also had quite a few fighters doing exhibitions.

Conway MMA brought their first MMA Fighters, and had an incredible performance as a team, going 2-2.

Inferno and Jonathan Border's also brought several fighters on their A Game.

Congrats again to everyone! :)

BattleCage 360 12.08.07 : WOW this show was so much fun! Scott really wanted to fight once more before going to Iraq. Much to his luck we were contacted about fighters for this card. Team LDMA had Josh Spencer Fighting, and Team Revolution had Scott and Wes Fighting. We'd also like to thank everyone from Revolution, LDMA and Conway MMA who made the drive to support the team.

Wes was first up. He came in 6 lbs under weight and on a little short notice, but with intense focus. He fought someone from Gracie Jiu Jitsu in TX. He followed his usual game plan. The bell rang and both fighters charged in. Wes went for the clinch and got the takedown. He then unleashed his brutal G&P, having the ref stop the fight at just over 1 minute in the first round.

Scott was up next. He is preparing to leave for Iraq in January 2008, and was in and out prior to the fight due to his preparations with the military. Despite that, he took workout equipment with him to his training and followed strict training orders while he was gone. He drove home on the weekends for his skill work, and trained every day when he had a break. Scott put an intense amount of dedication into training and preparing for this fight. He came in 3 lbs under weight, but stronger and faster than his last fight.
His opponent was a former College Wrestler from Iowa, now training in LA.

We knew this fight would be a crowd pleaser when the announcer introduced Scott by saying: "Ladies and Gentlemen, they call him Cornbread....." His southern image was certainly got the crowd on their feet. The fight was off to a good start. Scott's punches looked great as did his head movement, and he was much quicker this time. The fight went to the ground and Scott took the back, finishing with a RNC in the First Round!

Finally, Josh "Crash" Spencer was up. The name is especially fitting. He exhibited a dominating performance of G&P against his opponent. The fight was called at the end of round 2, when his opponent wouldn't answer the bell for round 3.

Overall it was a great show. It was run smoothly and I think only 1 fight went to the decision. All of these fighters brought their A Game!

We finished the night w/ some tasty Outback. Scott wanted a Military discount, but he had to be in uniform. They didn't think his "Army" shirt was enough....

**IMPORTANT**This gallery includes ALL images from every fight on the card. My mac is out of service due to the monitor being broken. These pictures ARE NOT EDITED!!! Most of them need to be edited. I might put them all on the mac and edit them all at a later date and re upload them here. 12.01.07 Fights : There are no words to describe this experience.

However REVOLUTION went 3-0 tonight.
Wes was 1 second short of catching "The Thriller's" 17 Second Victory, but he defeated his opponent in a mere 18 seconds via TKO.

Jeau was outweighed by 15 lbs but still took the fight. He finished in a mere 30 seconds with a TKO.

Anthony looked good. He began training just before this fight. He was able to use and apply what he learned in class and he finished his opponent via KO at the start of the second round.

Village Vengeance 09.08.2007 : REVOLUTION again participated Modern Ringsport with Danny Dring. Over 7 Arkansas Teams were present, along with others from surrounding states. We did a tough training camp up to this fight, and had several people ready.

Scott trained really hard. He has only trained for 3 months and took on an opponent with 4 fights and 6 years of training. He had an excellent performance but lost in the 2nd round.

Justin Fiser won his Kickboxing match easily, giving him a still undefeated record. He did a better job of listening and executing a great gameplan that caused his opponent to be unable to continue to round 2. He was, still, the crowd favorite.

Overall, everyone looked great.

Violence in the Village 5.12.07 : Team Revolution participated in our 2nd MMA Fights & Modern Ringsport Event, and we had 5 fighters on this card. This time it was Violence in the Village in Little Rock, and Arkansas' First Cage Fights!

If you are not aware, Modern Ringsport is Arkansas' Original and Largest MMA Production Circuit. Started by Danny Dring in 1996 to give Amateur Fighters a chance to compete on the local level in Kickboxing, Mixed Martial Arts and Submission Grappling. In 2005 Modern Ringsport put on the First Pro Show in Arkansas sanctioned by the Arkansas Athletic Commission. Fighters from Modern Ringsport have gone on to compete in Japan, England and across the US with great success. Violence in the Vilage featured 16 bouts with the top fighers from Arkansas and surrounding states.

Team Revolution is proud to be affiliated with this strong organization for our local fighters. This allows them to fight on a fair and reputable show for their first few fights, and get a wealth of experience under their belts at the amateur level.

Team Revolution brought 5 fighters to this show! That's a huge amount for a team that has only been training for a year, and another testament to our training methods and the amount of quality fighters REVOLUTION can produce. Buddy did a great exhibition match, even getting the crowd going with a slam. Tiger fought a much more skilled opponent and lost via triangle. Ray showed everyone that preacher's can be tough too, and he won the victory in the 2nd round of his fight via submission. Ray is 40 years old and fought an opponent who was 21. He is an inspiration to us all. Justin Fiser was the crowd favorite of course. He won his first MMA match via decision. Jeremey again showed what Renegade training can do for you, as he clinched the win via TKD only 17 seconds into the first round.

Great job guys, keep up the good training!

Sherwood Fightfest 2.3.07 : This was REVOLUTION'S first MMA Matches as a team, and we had 4 people compete on this card. Adam Borel fought an exhibition match that he took on last minute. Ray and Wes did exhibition grappling matches. Jeremy Thompson did a full training camp and was officially our first MMA Fighter. He won his fight by unanimous decision. He and his opponent were the main event and put on a thrilling match for the crowd filled with great standup, takedowns and grappling. Jeremy locked in a few subs, but the 90 second rule caught him a few times. Overall, a very exciting time for REVOLUTION.
